Messages that create outcomes.

Messaging apps all share the same inbox shape. Most of what we send is waiting on someone: a question, a poll, a request, a plan.

Casbu upgrades the traditional inbox and makes messages actionable, succinct and organized.

cas·bu

One message format for anything that needs a response, with a clear way to reply and an optional deadline. The reply is one tap, and the outcome stays organized, ready to reply to or send again later.

Private by default. Work with people who aren’t on Casbu — by email or SMS.

Why it beats the chat app

SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram and iMessage all share the same shape: a stream of text. That shape is the problem.

In a text stream

  • Messages and their replies scroll apart within minutes.
  • Group replies pile up; someone has to count them by hand.
  • Nothing expires, so nothing is ever formally decided.
  • Handing something to someone else means @-mentioning and hoping.
  • Organizing means making yet another group.

In Casbu

  • The response is pinned to the message.
  • The results live on the casbu; everyone sees the same state.
  • Deadlines return the outcome to the sender, and it is recorded.
  • “Pass to”, “More time”, Withdraw and Extend are one tap each.
  • Subjects appear inline only when a conversation warrants them.

01 · THE DIRECT MESSAGE

Make more of your DMs.

Type what you need — a question, a request, a quick poll, a heads-up. Casbu turns it into a message with tappable responses and, if needed, a deadline. The other person taps once. The response appears in gold on the card, with a timestamp. That’s it — you’ve sent your first casbu.

No “did you see my text?”, no scrolling back to find what was sent.

Chat apps“Can you do Saturday instead?” → “sure” → three unrelated messages → nobody remembers what was agreed.
CasbuOne card. One tap. The response stays pinned to the message.

02 · GROUPS

The results are in the casbu, not the scrollback.

Send a poll, a plan or an announcement to a group and every response shows up for the group or sender to make the final call. Who has responded, who hasn’t, and what’s leading is visible without opening anything.

Chat apps“Who’s driving Friday?” gets four replies, two jokes, a photo, and a “wait what was the question”.
CasbuOne card counts the responses. Everyone sees the same state.

03 · WHAT NEEDS YOUR ATTENTION

Time-sensitive casbus rise to the top.

The inbox pins what expires at the top. Open a person or a group and see what’s expiring above the feed. Nothing with a deadline gets buried.

CasbuWhat expires soon is pinned at the top of the feed. One tap answers them in order.

VIP

What’s needed next, without the rest.

08 · DECIDE

Deadlines that actually end things.

When the deadline passes, the casbu comes back to the sender. Only real responses are offered, and the outcome is recorded as theirs. In a 1:1 it works the same way: your casbu, your call.

Nobody is left holding an unanswered message forever.

Chat appsThe poll nobody closed. The plan nobody confirmed.

EMAIL / SMS

Work with people who aren’t on Casbu.

Start from your inbox, pick them in contacts, and they answer with a text. Email or SMS. No account required.
